Black & White list is a blackberry application used to install on Blackberry phones. Its size is 60 Kbyte and it uses a small memory footprint when it operates. B&W is auto start when the phone is started and works in the background and so will not bother your normal Blackberry use.
Just setup blacklist numbers that you don’t want to accept calls from ,or white list numbers that you want to keep contactable as normal. It’s then ready to use.
When a call comes in, the application compares the number against the numbers in your lists. If the number is unwanted then the application will automatically reject the number and will forward it to voice mail or forward it to a destination number set for call forwarding type “if busy”. Your phone will not ring or vibrate when the application is rejecting phone calls so it won’t disturb your work. You can look for blocked number and detailed in its own call log. If the number is not an unwanted call, the phone still rings as usual as if nothing was monitoring your phone call numbers.
Black & White list has 3 rules to use for filter phone numbers:
- Blacklist: an application will reject numbers or contacts in the blacklist. Other numbers will come through, the phone vibrates and rings as usual.
- White list: an application will allow numbers or contacts in the white list get through. Other numbers will be rejected.
- Address Book: an application will allow only your Blackberry’s Address Book numbers to get through and unknown persons will be rejected. You do not need to create or import numbers, just select this rule then an application will look at incoming call numbers against Address Book in real time.
To switch active rule, select Change block rule menu from menu options. |
