| Install by Blackberry Desktop Manager |
Install by OTA download |
Launch Blackberry Desktop Manager from Windows Start menu --> All Programs --> Blackberry --> Blackberry Desktop Manager.
Run Application loader and browse to the unzipped file in folders you created* "OS 4.x.x". Please select the folder name which matches your Blackberry phone OS**.
Please NOTE: After installing the appropriate .ALX file, two messages will appear:
1 - Asking if it is okay for iBerry_Black_Whitelist to access phone logs – Select Yes
2 - Asking if it is okay for iBerry_Black_Whitelist to access phone information – Select Yes

If you have a problem with the installation using Blackberry Desktop Manager. You can install the software by using the Blackberry browser.
- Open Blackberry browser and point URL to http://download.i-softwarelabs.com
- Select product to download.
- Check "Set application" field in download prompt screen. (The "Set application" field may not appear on older Blackberry phones)
- Click Download button to install.

Blackberry smart phones are restricted for 3rd applications. In order for the software to function properly you must set the appropriate permission immediately after installation.
In Blackberry Home Screen, select Options icon.
Select Advanced Options, select Applications, scroll to Black & Whitelist, press the menu key, scroll to Edit Permissions and hit enter.
Set the following permissions to "Allow"
Phone
Carrier Internet
Interprocess Communication
PIM
To Change Phone and Carrier Internet to Allow:
Select Connection, press the Menu Key, select Expand, press Enter
Select Phone, press Enter, select Allow, press Enter
Select Carrier Internet, press Enter, select Allow, press Enter
To change Interprocess Communication to Allow:
Select Interactions, press the Menu Key, Select Expand, press Enter
Select Interprocess Communication, press Enter, select Allow, press Enter
To change PIM to Allow:
Select User Data, press the Menu Key, Select Expand, press Enter
Select PIM, press Enter, Select Allow, press Enter
To Complete the changes:
Select the Menu Key, select Close, press Enter
Select Save to complete the changes.
Restart Phone

** To locate your Blackberry OS version:
1. In Blackberry Home screen, select Options icon.
2. When Options screen appears, scroll to “About” and press enter.
The OS version is shown at the 3rd line.
Some Examples*:
If the 3rd line shows "v4.3.0.97", you should install from a folder name "OS 4.3.0"
If the 3rd line shows "v4.2.1.166", you should install from a folder name "OS 4.2.1.x"
If the 3rd line shows "v4.1.0.84", you should install from a folder name "OS 4.1.x"
